Most pole dancers are taught how to get into the groove of performing moves. They don’t have to worry about actually having it all figured out – if they are able to hold the pole properly and they do the right moves (or they haven’t done it for some reason) then it will happen.
What do I need to do to get in shape?
If you want to stay in shape, then it is very important to get into the groove of what you are doing. If you feel good in your own body, then go and practice. If not, then get into the groove and improve it.
If you know you have problems, you don’t want to be doing something that is not working.
It is all about finding your own groove, which will be different to someone else at the same level.
What are the most important things to do when I am in the pole dancing routine?
It is important to work on the core to get into a groove in which you can move with ease – but it is just as important that you are flexible.
The way you hold, twist and twist and twist can be very different to someone else at the same level and that is really important.
Another thing you will work on during your routine is how you move as both dancer and body. It is important to make sure you are having fun! Don’t forget that you are still learning.
