How Old Is Magic The Gathering? – Magic Tricks Gone Wrong On Live Tv

Magic The Gathering is a non-collectible card game that came out in 1994 by Wizards of the Coast, Inc.

In the game, players take on the role of an avian creature known simply as a “creature”—a kind of magical creature that can do magic (though that’s much more often just flying and summoning). The creatures are represented in the game as miniature, card-like figures that the player can interact with using a set of four colored and four white mana symbols (there are also six different “spell colors” of mana symbols).

There are four main types of cards in the game:

Land card – all lands and all creatures come with an inherent land type known as a “land type.” Many of the cards in the base set feature land types, often representing their color of mana (red for Plains, blue for Forest, black for Mountain, white for Forest, etc), and the basic lands may, or may not, represent lands of different types.

These objects may, or may not, be shown in game (i.e., in the creature’s name, or other similar symbols), though are generally described as possessing an ability and/or a triggered ability.

This article will explore each of the types of card, and how they relate to Magic’s various rules, as well as the mechanics they offer.
