Here are some steps:
1. Make sure you have a free account (or if you have an account you don’t even know about, check your account’s privacy settings). You may have to create an account, even if you’ve got a pay-per-view account. Check out our tips on getting started here.
2. Make sure you’ve got a good reason for your hourly rate (in most cases it’ll be to get a certain percentage of the revenue). You can set it up in your payment info (or just use email)
3. Read the “what’s included” section for details about your hourly rate. Don’t forget to include your time (hours), shipping information, credit card number (which gives you an estimate of your rate), name of your company, and your contact info if you have any.

You can make more by doing everything you can better. Don’t be afraid to ask me to do something you can’t do for free—I’m not that different (though it’s possible to make more money doing this way). You can make a lot more by trying to make sure you don’t leave money on the table. Do the following:
Write a check for the right amount and shipping for how much content you put on a project. This will show your publisher what you have in terms of income for the project and can help them decide if they want to offer you a larger cut of revenue. Be sure they know you will write the same amount of content every week, not just once a month. The more you write, the faster you’ll make your payments.
