1. Rascal Flatts – Rascal Flatts (born August 6, 1978) – The rapper Rascal Flatts is widely considered to be the best rapper in South Korea. He’s won multiple awards and is credited with creating the sound of this country.
In a country where most people are still embarrassed to be called rappers, Rascal Flatts is quite the icon. A lot of his tracks have been taken from a song that started off popular in the 70s. The lyrics in some of his tracks sound like an angry young man shouting out his frustration about what’s happening in his hometown.
2. Hwang Kwang Soo – Hwang Kwang Soo (born March 4, 1966) – A big fan of American rap, Hwang Kwang Soo became famous thanks to his viral hit song “I Got A Boy” from the film I’m Sane (2000). This song is about the hardships and hardships of growing up around rap music in South Korea. In addition to his song, Hwang Kwang Soo’s character on HBO’s hit series, The Wire, also has his own rap on it – “I’m Just A Pimp”
3. Son Dong Hyun – Son Dong Hyun (born November 2, 1964) – Son Dong Hyun is one of the most successful rappers in South Korea. His first big success came thanks to his song “Come Back To My Heart” from his 2011 song, “Come Back To Me (2012)”, which was one of the number 2 Korean hip hop hits in 2012.
4. Lee Jun Eun – Lee Jun Eun (born April 29, 1963) – Lee Jun Eun is another prolific South Korean rapper. He’s one of the best known rappers of South Korea and has performed at a number of major international festivals.
5. Joo Hwan Jeon – Joo Hwan Jeon (born June 4, 1966) – The best known actor of South Korea, Joo Hwan Jeon is the actor behind many famous films such as “Kiss From a Rose” and “My Hero Academia”.
