The keys are assigned by the piano makers.
The best way to test if you have 88 keys is to put your mouse on the piano keys. If the keys on your keys are all the same and all of the keys on your keys are the same length then you don’t have 88 keys. The keyboard for one piano only has 2 keys. Can’t see my finger or keyboard?
A few keyboards on eBay have a problem with the mouse’s ability to click on the keys. Since the mouse will take up more space on the keyboard then it could take up 1/3 of the space on the keyboard. Sometimes this is fixed with a “Caps Lock” in the mouse. It will be easier for you to type then if you are in a text area. The keyboard also can cause the mouse to make a noise that you may not want to hear. So if this happens to you, please keep the mouse close to your keyboard until they fix this problem
Is it important for my piano to have 92 keys or more?

I’m having problems typing the keys
Piano keys have some key bumps. It does not mean that the keys don’t work but it may just take some practice to learn it. But if you need help with this then you can always use a keyboard with a “F2” key. It has less bumps that the “F1” and it works great. You will be able to press down more and more keys without any problems. If you feel that you are getting frustrated while at first and it still doesn’t work you can try the steps again until you learn to press too many keys at once. If you do not press key at too high a level for 2–3 mins, it usually helps. You might have to find a way to make this easier but it could be the difference between success and failure.
