Another study of preschoolers found that a parent’s enjoyment of music significantly impacted their children’s musical aptitude.

To date, there are no randomized controlled trials of musical interventions, but I’d suggest playing music to your toddler as part of your child’s routine. This is just one thing that can help your child’s musical development. It’s not only about having music playing, it’s about having them actually hearing it. That way, they can identify the sounds you’re hearing, then replicate them. Once these children have mastered this skill, then they may not need further musical instruction! There is one other way that can help your child develop his or her musical aptitude – music and art.

How long will it take for a toddler to go from beginner to professional musician?

As you can see, it depends on who a child is! There really is no universal time line for musical ability. However, you should prepare yourself for your child to get to a better place by providing appropriate music education and musical lessons as a part of your child’s day-to-day routine.
