HTC One X (M8)
The HTC One X (or M8) is the new, yet to be unveiled, flagship of the HTC One generation. It uses HTC’s dual front-facing stereo speakers, 2GB of RAM, a 10.1″ qHD IPS display, and 4G LTE. It uses the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. A new Sense 5.0-based UI is included with the Android 4.4 KitKat, so it has some extra features. This phone is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM.
Like all of HTC’s newer smartphones, the device ships with Android 4.4 KitKat as the platform. The software has been updated recently on Google Play and has the latest version of HTC Sense 5.0.

A new version of HTC’s popular Sense browser, Sense Home, has been added to the phone. While it has a very similar theme as Sense 3.x, it includes shortcuts and tabs for faster access to information. The home screen is very simple with a home button at the top. The settings screen is located at the bottom of the screen with quick settings, quick settings, power menu, and settings sections. The camera app is located at the bottom of the phone. All of the HTC Sense components are included here with the Sense 5.0 software.
As with all of HTC’s phones, the One X comes with the standard 16GB storage, microSD card slot, and USB Type-C port.
The One X has a 5.2″ 720p IPS LCD display with an ultra-wide, 1080p resolution.
HTC is marketing the phone as HTC One X, M8, and M9 among other names that have the same display. We believe this was an effort to capitalize on the popularity of the One X. As such, we can’t really say to what extent this is true with these three names. The first two phones are simply different models of the same phone. The third is an even tinier model of the first two.
The phone features a 4,000mAh battery, so this isn’t some cheap gimmick. It is the same battery as HTC does with other devices on the market, so you can actually see the difference in appearance, design
