Is filmmaking a good career? – Best Professional Cameras For Filmmaking Process Steps

  • by

Yes. It’s a great way to get a lot of money from very little effort. It gives you the freedom and security of being able to take time off work and just work on projects. And I would say even doing something like this has allowed me to be more involved into some of the projects I’ve worked on that have kind of just been too large scale. You know, making a movie around two hours long is a really tall order. It takes so much time to make that that it just seems like too big of a job. This, having that kind of experience on film and working with a great team and getting to come through, there’s obviously lots of different ways they can improve on it. But as a business, I think in general, it’s a great way to make a lot of money.

Did you get any help from any actors?

No. I don’t even really know anybody who really works with actors. They’re very much a one-size fits all kind of business. We do these movies and get paid a lot of money, and a lot of people do it very well, but I don’t know that I’ve personally worked with a lot of really star-quality actors who’ve been able to sell something on paper on film. We try to get as much information as we can about the person’s personal life and their filmography, and if we have any connections, but there’s not really a good reason to go get in a room with somebody who’s got such a different work ethic from you.

“I don’t work with actors who don’t want to be working on a big film.”

Do you ever regret doing the film?

I think I did make the mistake of not doing it when I was much younger. Now, if I have the opportunity, if something’s right for me, I’d do it again.

Does anyone else in your family have this kind of a career as a director?

No. That’s something my uncle and my father never allowed. My aunt was the first person to actually go through the education system and just sort of follow out their passion, which was doing music videos and things like that. It wasn’t until much later that she got into it. We live a big block in Westchester that’s very close to that, but she has a passion that I think everyone should have.
