There’s not really enough to choose from, and there’s no guarantee your kid will make the grade. Plus the high school is expensive while the college level is much cheaper. If he or she ends up being like the other kid in a group, at least you won’t be throwing money his way at graduation.
One thing you can do, however, is to get them a hobby that you think will help them with their studies, and which will allow them to keep them interested. I personally took up computer science this past year after a friend asked me to let my kids do it for them. It’s a great thing to do when time is short and they aren’t sure which way they want to go with their studies, and for the price you can help make them look smart.
Do it anyway!
Do it in person with your kids! This is the ideal time! They will want to talk with you and feel valued. If you can’t, ask the teacher on campus! I would also suggest making sure they go somewhere quiet and safe to watch the show. They will want to stay as quiet as possible!
Have your kids watch “The Legend of Korra.” Do it before you go to bed! I promise this will be worth it. I was so happy to be able to offer this show to my kids, and it had nothing to do with them being cool kids or that I don’t like “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” They had a great time learning the art of using the tools they are given and I’m looking forward to the show coming back and seeing how they do!
