“This is the story of a father and his son, who have no money to buy their way off the streets but a pair of sneakers with a single strap to keep them comfortable in the streets,” the opening story line of the novel says. The author of the novel, who was inspired, said he wanted to tell the story of the young boy in Nigeria after he lost his parents to a gang and he has been forced to survive on the street. He made the decision that was just too hard for him. “I want my story to be shared and my story to be heard,” he said.

This week is the last day to join the new weekly club “Free Ride” at the Wrist. Join us from 2pm for good fun and good discussion. This week the club has a few more pictures. A list of the photos that will be in their latest issue is available at the end of the page.
We have been running another round of the free ride club from 6:30-7.30. Come along, chat, have drinks or do activities for the kids on the lawn. The fun starts at 7.30pm.

A number of parents have emailed us in the past asking if we could help their children with the “free rides” club.
We are delighted that parents are coming by to support the club. Most of our club members are local residents, and many are local schoolteachers. However, we have many friends in the wider area who are interested in the club too. As we do a lot of our activities in and around Glasgow with all school-goers there is a good social atmosphere.
