The Canadian-born, Brooklyn-based DJ has spent the last three-plus years recording and performing some of electronic dance music’s most sought-after records. The first release from the group was the duo’s 2010 self-titled debut full-length, which set an industry-high for digital sales at the time. The trio signed with Epic Records as Thee Oh Sees the following year and went on to release three more albums. Their newest installment, titled Can Dance: Thee Oh Sees, has been out on Apple Music since October 16, 2014, a full 19 months after its initial November release.

WASHINGTON (AP) – The state’s top law enforcement official will be the person who will decide whether prosecutors should pursue child pornography charges against a woman charged with possessing graphic images posted on the Internet.
The Washington State Patrol and the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office held emergency talks late Wednesday to explore how the department would approach the case, which has generated controversy through a series of photographs that were uploaded to her Facebook page in late 2011.
They decided not to seek an indictment of Melissa Mays after a five-hour meeting in which the law enforcement officials discussed potential legal strategies to prosecute Mays.
Assistant Prosecuting Attorney James Cramer declined to elaborate on the discussions. But he said prosecutors are taking several steps to ensure the investigation continues.
Cramer said the discussion came after Mays’s case had come to the attention of detectives.
The photographs are mostly of men aged 18 to 27. They are clothed, but there are scant details about their skin, facial features or body type. In one image with a young boy, Mays wears a hooded sweater and is shown holding a baseball bat.
A preliminary count of distribution and possession of child pornography has been taken from the desk of King County Prosecuting Attorney Dan Satterberg and forwarded to the state Attorney General’s Office for review, an official with authority to make such a determination confirmed Wednesday. The prosecutor is expected to make a decision after next week.
The agency has declined to publicly release or discuss the information provided by the detectives.
The prosecutor’s office said it would not make any further comment after the investigation is concluded.
